⚠ Is Your Air Receiver Inspection Up to Date?
Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and SANS 347 Pressure Equipment Regulations, every air receiver tank in your workplace must be inspected by a competent person at prescribed intervals. Operating an uninspected pressure vessel is a criminal offence and can void your insurance. If your last inspection was more than 12–24 months ago — or if you cannot locate the original documentation — contact us today.
🔍 Periodic Inspection
Full inspection of your air receiver tank carried out by a competent person in accordance with SANS 347 requirements. Includes:
- External visual inspection — shell, welds, fittings
- Internal inspection (where accessible)
- Safety/relief valve function test
- Drain valve inspection
- Nameplate and documentation review
- Inspection report with findings and next due date
🧪 Pressure Testing
Hydraulic or pneumatic pressure testing for air receivers requiring recertification, those with missing original documentation, or vessels that have been repaired or modified.
- Hydraulic pressure test to 1.5× working pressure
- Pneumatic test where applicable
- Pressure test certificate issued on completion
- Required after any weld repair or modification
- Required for vessels with no original certification

🔧 Safety Valve Testing & Replacement
The safety/relief valve is the last line of defence against over-pressurisation. It must be tested, calibrated, and replaced at regular intervals. We supply and fit calibrated safety valves for all standard air receiver sizes and pressure ratings.
